Lawndale Art Center Presents 2008 FOTOFEST Biennial Exhibitions Transformations – Hana Hillerova Houston Cultura – Chuy Benitez Reverent Estimations – Adam Schreiber Broken Dreams – William Stewart Houston, Texas
In conjunction with the 2008 FOTOFEST Biennial, Lawndale Art Center presents four photo-based solo exhibitions opening March 7, 6:30 8:30 pm, with artist talks beginning at 6 pm. The exhibitions continue through April 12, 2008. In the John M. OQuinn Gallery Hana Hillerova presents recent sculpture in her installation titled Transformations. On view in the Mezzanine Gallery are Chuy Benitezs signature panoramic photographs of Houstons influential Mexican American community members in Houston Cultura. In the Grace R. Cavnar Gallery Adam Schreiber reexamines research/archiving institutions in his exhibition Reverent Estimations. In the Project Space on the 3rd Floor William Stewarts Broken Dreams documents changes to Houstons old Third Ward.
