Irena & Vojtech Havlovi, a duo of musicians from Prague, will be making rare appearances in the United States this spring. Their new album will be released on Clogs’ label, Brassland. The music that they compose has been described as ‘a duet between violoncello and piano taking place in a cathedral of sound.’ The two have collaborated and released recordings for more than fifteen years, including work done for Czech television and frequent travel and recording in India. This Thursday, they will perform a selection from several of their albums, playing on replicas of baroque instruments, the viola da gambas, as well as Tibetan bowls
