Sculpture Symposium at Blue Star

Blue Star Contemporary Art Center is hosting a sculpture symposium featuring Glenn Harper, editor of Sculpture Magazine and of several books on sculpture, as well as a number of practicing sculptors. The symposium is free and open to the public. Saturday, June 28, 2-5:30 pm.
Glenn Harper Texas Uprising Sculpture Symposium: Leaders in the sculpture world gather at Blue Star Contemporary Art Center on Saturday, June 28th, 2008 from 2-5:30 p.m. for a free open to the public symposium exploring the current dialogue in the international contemporary sculpture scene. The Glenn Harper Texas Uprising Sculpture Symposium features renowned sculptors James Surls, Jesus Moroles, Markus Wirthmann, visiting sculptor from Berlin, Dr. Angelika Jansen-Brown, art patron and curator, Bill FitzGibbons, sculptor and Executive Director of Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, Glenn Harper, Editor of Sculptor Magazine, and sculptors from around the state.
For those corporate officers who rejected my requests, I went as far as to explain to them that all of our written correspondences were going to be made public as a part of the installation, and that their companies would be categorized in the “withholding” binder, whereas the letters of the companies who were willing to give to me were placed in the “giving” binder.
