Bio-fucked is an open proposal show with proposal selections by:
Gary Smith: Director
Alex Lopez: Guest CuratorBio-fucked is being organized as a benefit show in support of vtrue artspace and for an environmental cause. Raised funds will be distributed: 50% to vtrue artspace and 50% to an environmental organization of choice.
Artists are asked to create a self-contained “environment” within the limits of a one to two-foot cubicle. This environment could be biological, fantasy, mechanical, fully functional, etc, etc.
The ideas are limitless.
Materials are limitless.Cubicles can be wall mounted, placed on the floor, or placed on a pedestal. All mounting devices and pedestals must accompany the work and be ready for presentation.
If you are interested in participating in the show please send proposal ideas so that we can anticipate artist load through the selection process.
Proposals due by: April 2, 2007
Send proposals via email toWord doc, or small jpeg files for drawings/diagrams (72 dpi)
Selections made and notifications sent via email: April 6, 2007
Delivery of Work: On or before Wednesday, May 9, 2007
sounds like it could be an interesting time.. dont know what I think about the title.this is whats going on in my brain right now–> Its like that time your mom got mad at you, because you’d heard the word fuck and decided it wasnt bad but just new and you wanted to say it a whole lot because it sounded interesting and people reacted strangely to it, but for what reason? and then your mom let you know why you shouldnt do it? ouch.
