The Texas Biennial is opening this weekend, with events at the Mexican American Cultural Center, Women & Their Work, Big Medium, Mass Gallery, Okay Mountain, and Pump Project. I saw a bit of Jayne Lawrence’s show at Mass Gallery last weekend (she was installing before the No Idea Festival at Blue Theater, which is right next to Mass Gallery), and the work looked good.
