…and an Island Never Cries

Design Observer gives us Love Letters to Sub-Antarctic Islands.
A little sample:
I know you probably don’t think of me too often. It’s okay. I’m sure you’re occupied with all of those science teams and feral cats. It seems like you’re always surrounded by a hundred other things. Your own little archipelago.
You’re a French possession, but I wish you were mine.
oh paul, how i love thee.
Wow!
I’ve long suffered a secret admiration for the Kerguelen Islands.
In fact, I’ve collected a lot of research on the place, including photos, and it is those images that my computer scrolls through when I have not typed a key in 17 minutes, as though they were my own vacation slides. A place I’ve actually never been. Pornography for geography geeks.
Maybe one day.
Thanks Ben for discovering such a great site.
