Donald Lokuta will be giving free a talk on George Segal at SAMA on Sunday, June 10 at 3:pm. From SAMA’s web site:
Donald Lokuta will share his photographs and recollections of sculptor George Segal examining both the mind of the artist and the nature of the man. The 52 photographs in George Segal: Intimate Portrait, now on display at the San Antonio Museum of Art, are an insider’s view into the life of one of the 20th century’s most important sculptors. The photographs open a door to a private unseen world and take you on a journey through a seventeen-year friendship with the artist. Sensitive and revealing, they are about George Segal, his art world and his family and friends. But most importantly, they are about the creative process.
