We will be having a Black Light Art Party on Halloween Night at the Calcasieu Gallery downtown! We will be celebrating a new art exhibit with new art and new artists and will be featuring the art of George Cisneros, Alex Ramirez and MoMo and are happy to have them on board this opening. We are particularly excited to have the opportunity to show the work of George Cisneros, an alumni of the San Antoino artists community. Here is a write up about George from his exhibit at Artpace: “Born in 1951, Cisneros was raised and continues to live and work in San Antonio, TX. He holds a BA in music from the University of Houston and a Masters of Music Composition from Ohio State University. His twenty-year career is highlighted by performances, presentations and installations at international venues including Trinity University in San Antonio, TX; Dallas Museum of Art, TX; Mexic-Arte, Austin, TX; El Museo del Barrio, New York, NY; and the Festival Internacional de Cultura in Vera Cruz, Mexico.” Along with the work of George and Alex, there will also be new art by members of The Black Light Contingent, so make sure to come out as it promises to be a visualy stunning night! Join us on Halloween for a night of art, music and social revelry. Come dressed up or as you are and don’t forget the event is free. You are welcome to bring your own (fill in the blank). Starts at 8:30 PM until late.
