The Familiar Unknown, curated by Ovidio Giberga, (and featuring Susan Beiner, Rebekah Bogard, Rebecca Hutchinson, and Anne Drew Potter) is Blue Star’s first curated exhibit of contemporary ceramic works. “While Hutchinson’s and Beiner’s works examine different perspectives on ecology and nature, Potter’s (shown) and Bogard’s address the varied existence of human relationships.” Also check out work by Sally Weber and Kim Bishop.

“Justin Boyd will be exhibiting some of his work from the Arthouse Texas Prize finalist show for the first time in San Antonio at cactus bra SPACE. Justin Boyd is a San-Antonio based artist who utilizes a vast range of media—from video, sound, and performance to sculpture, installation and two-dimensional work—to create environments and objects that tell non-linear yet evocative stories about American history and layered cultural experiences.”
