Description
David Shelton Gallery is pleased to announce a SMART Holiday Celebration for both youth and adults. Through partnering with SMART (Supporting Multiple Arts Resources Together), our goal is to highlight leaders in the artistic community by hosting an educational event that inspires the creativity of all age groups.
All are invited to attend the SMART Holiday Celebration and help support arts education and appreciation in a tangible way that is beneficial and enriching to the community.
From 1 – 4 pm, San Antonio artists and educators will lead free, hands-on creative workshops for youth ages 4 – 14. Art activities such as holiday ornament and piñata design, jewelry making, silkscreening, cupcake creations, and more will entertain, educate, and inspire participants. Those interested in taking part in the workshops are kindly asked to reply to or by Friday, December 11.
From 4 – 7 pm, the gallery will host a SMART Holiday Celebration reception. Please stop by to enjoy a glass of holiday cheer and view new works by some of the area’s most talented artists. Work exhibited by artists represented in the gallery includes: Judith Cottrell, Alejandro Diaz, Augusto Di Stefano, Jonathan Faber, Joey Fauerso, Sara Frantz, Holly Hein Brooks/Bryson Brooks, Diana Kersey, Scott Lifshutz, Franco Mondini-Ruiz, Cruz Ortiz, Chuck Ramirez, Daniel Saldana, Al Souza, Dan Sutherland, and Michael Velliquette. A portion of sales throughout the day will benefit the SMART organization.
