Please join us for 2nd Thursday Poetry at Bihl Haus this week (April 8th). Featured guest JIM LAVILLA-HAVELIN will read from his brand new book of poems, due out from Pecan Grove Press later this month. Jim’s reading is silhouetted against the “Wordworkers” exhibit—Critic Sarah Fisch’s “Pick” by in The Current*—, intimate pinhole ph…otographs by Melanie Davis Rush of 22 of San Antonio’s most important authors accompanied by poems scrawled on the gallery walls. Carmen Tafolla will also be on hand Thursday to pen a poem on the wall and to join us for open mic, starting at 7:00 pm.
Poets Jim Brandenburg, Mo Saidi, Carolyn Sanchez, and Josie Mixon host this event, co-sponsored by Bihl Haus Arts and Voices de la Luna, the quarterly SA poetry & arts magazine. 2nd Thursday starts at 6 pm with a poetry workshop by Josie Mixon
