Art Alliance Austin, in partnership with Landmarks and the Department of Art and Art History’s Visual Arts Center, presents Dan Cameron.

Cameron is a world-renowned contemporary art curator and the artistic director of Prospect New Orleans, the international biennial of contemporary art produced by U.S. Biennial, Inc. Cameron discusses how contemporary art brought hope to a post-Katrina New Orleans when nothing else could, what it takes to mount the largest contemporary art biennial in the United States, and insights into current trends in contemporary art. He will also discuss his artist selection process for Prospect.2, scheduled for November 2011.

This lecture is also made possible by the support of the The Marie and Joseph D. Jamail, Sr. Regents Professorship in Fine Arts.
