Last month SAY Si invited young playwrights between the ages of 16 and 21 to submit original works for the opportunity to have their work produced and performed by the SAY Sí High School Teatro ALAS Performance Co. SAY Sí is pleased to announce the selections for it’s 1st Annual Teatro ALAS Young Playwright’s Competition. SAY Sí has selected three Short Plays written by emerging playwrights, they are:
“Lasagna and Romance” and “Parkbench Revelations” by Zachary Campion,
“My Sweet Abandon” by Gabriel Luera
(Zachary Campion and Gabriel Luera are students at Texas State University)
Also Featuring A Special Performance by the Middle School Troupe:
“The Ant, the Grasshopper, and the Butterfly” by Teatro ALAS
This updated adaptation of the classic Aesop fable adds colorful new characters and a few twists along the way.
