ARTMATTERS 12: Jane Hammond

Well known for paintings, works on paper, and books filled with signs and symbols, Jane Hammond’s works draw from a variety of found sources such as biology, mathematics, popular culture, and children’s stories. From these found images, Hammond creates her fictional worlds. Work by Hammond is presented as part of the McNay’s ARTMATTERS series of exhibitions of work by living artists. The exhibition is accompanied by an illustrated gallery guide.
