The Museo Alameda presents an exhibition and trunk show celebrating the Huipile. The exhibition features art by Kathy Sosa and Liz Garza Williams, essays by Sandra Cisneros and Ellen Riojas Clark, film by César Martínez and Al Obregon III, and will include painting, photographs, textiles, decorative art, figurines, huipiles, essays and film. The show “explores the relationships of indigenous Mesoamerican textiles and the women in the U.S. who wear, love and collect them.”

Opening reception & trunk show is Sept 19, 6-8 pm.
