John Mata’s Holiday Window at Artpace

John Mata has been collaborating with Southside High School students on the annual Holiday Window installation at Artpace. The result of the collaboration is called “Relieving Anxiety in a Liminal State of Passage”. The opening reception is from 4 to 5:30 pm on Thursday, December 6. I’m not sure why the opening is so early, but I guess they want to do it before it gets dark.
The three main rituals of Higher Magic, as delineated in The Satanic Bible are Lust, Compassion, and Destruction. These ceremonies, performed alone or with a group in a ritual chamber, are meant to release tensions caused by issues arising out of sexual attraction, problems for yourself or a loved one, and conflict with a person you hold in great contempt.
